Pedal Auction: Fender 72 re-issue thinline Telecaster

Pedal Auction Description: Fender Thinline 72 re-issue Telecaster, made in Mexico. My research of the serial number indicates 2010-2011 manufacture. It's in great shape, with no major dings...just normal wear and tear. If you research the guitar you'll see that it has a "vintage" neck shape (U-shape with 7.25 radius), frets are in good condition. Obviously some wear, but not to the point where you'd have to pay for a fret job anytime soon. It's been in a clean house with no abuse and everything is stock. Pedal Auction Description: Fulltone'69 Fuzz (Early Production Unit)Up for sale isa very clean and very early production large-box original Fulltone '69 fuzzunit. As you can tell from the pictures, this unit is in excellent cosmeticshape and has been well taken care of over the past 18 years where it hasserved as a home studio recording tool. Due to the sourcing and low-noisescreening of New Old Stock (NOS) germanium transistors, these early edition 69pedals sound superior to current models and are getting harder and harder to find,especially in this cosmetic condition.***NOTE: Due touse of NOS germanium transistors, if you are using a power supply to power thispedal, it needs to be the correct polarity (positive tip), otherwise you may runthe risk of damaging the pedal.Detailed DescriptionThe 69 pedal isbased on the classic two transistor Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face circuit designwith the added benefit of two additional controls that offer a very wide,versatile degree of tone and gain shaping. The controls are Volume, Bias,Contour, and Fuzz. The knob labeled "Contour" is where thereal fun starts. It is kind of a combination mid-range / thickness control.Needless to say, when the Contour control is turned down, the fuzz is a bitthinner as is the overall tone. This is helpful if you want Fuzz without all the "woof" Whenyou increase the Contour level, the Fuzz gets thicker and has more body. Thisalso adds to the random harmonics and general squeaks that are likely to comeout of your guitar. If you experiment by using less drive and more Contour (orvice versa) there are some seriously fun sounds to be found. This particularunit is an early production model (S/N 548) with a build date of 20 Oct 1997and was hand signed by Mike Fuller himself during Nov 1997. If you take a lookat the circuit picture, you will see that it is the first version of thecircuit built on a tan phenolic board. These early models sound superior tocurrent models (in my opinion) and are getting harder to find. Mike Fuller'stransistors of choice for the '69 pedal are metal can New Old Stock (NOS) NewMarket (NKT) 275 germanium transistors. When creating the '69 circuit, MikeFuller carefully tuned the design by using transistors with specificgain values for certain locations within the circuit... in fact, you can seethe gain values written on the tops of the transistors themselves. The endresult is an extremely accurate sounding Dallas-Arbiter-Fuzz-Face-style circuitthat is very responsive to a player's pick attack and guitar volume control. Sonic InfoReady to deliver fat and harmonic fuzz whenever you need it,the Fulltone '69 cleans up very well when you turn down yourguitar's volume control. The Rolling Stones and the Black Crowes havediscovered this trick. If you love the first two Hendrix releases, then you'll lovethe '69 fuzz with its two germanium transistors, hand-picked and tested foroptimum performance. A Contour knob lets you dial in midrange, harmonics, andsustain, while the Input knob takes the "woofiness" out and givesgreat overdrive/distortion sounds when backed off. An internal "bias"trimmer allows for adjustment of clipping symmetry, harmonics, and tracking. Pedal Auction: Boss Dimension C DC-2 Chorus Flanger Leslie Modulation Effect Pedal

Pedal Auction Description: This highly collectible purple pedal features a very distinctive four button selection system that allows you to easily select between a few preset chorus, flanger, and leslie-type sounds. The effect parameters are fixed so there is no room for tweaking, but the stock sounds are pretty stunning. Button 1 is a mellow flange sound, buttons 2 and 3 offer up some smooth chorus sounds, and button 4 does a bubbly leslie simulation. If you're looking for wild and wobbly raygun sounds you may want to pass on this pedal as it's really all about subtlety. I can really see why so many Nashville session guitarists have these in their rigs. All the presets add a delicate shimmer without screaming "Look, I have my cool effect on now." The DC-2 is also used by quite a few atmospheric guitarists like Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins and Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. While the Dimension C stands alone perfectly fine on its own, adding a long delay and/or a washy reverb to the chain will create some of the most lush and slowly shifting ambient sounds you'll ever hear.
